Dance Through the Storms
Understand that in our lives, we will have trouble, but you can still remain joyful in the most painful situations. Brianna speaks to the loss of her mother, being rejected in dance, and using her faith to overcome every obstacle in her life.
Dance Through the Storms will provide inspiration and guidance to readers who may feel like there is no hope during or after the storm. Brianna also wants her readers to hold fast to the promises of God and believe that on the other side of the storm, there is a beautiful testimony.
“Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” -Philippians 1:6

Brianna Hairlson, also known as Bri, began dancing and choreographing at the age of 7 in her parents’ basement in Merrillville, Indiana. She went on to attend Howard University where she trained in modern, ballet, and West African dance.
During college, Bri trained with the Dance Institute of Washington (DIW) under the late Fabian Barnes. At DIW, she taught dance and served as Program Coordinator and Executive Administrative Assistant. Bri also worked on the First Annual National Dance Day on the National Mall and the Summer Youth Employment Program under Mayor Adrian Fenty. In 2012, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from Howard University with a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Marketing and a minor in Dance.
Currently, she is the owner of Bri’s Dance Place, www.brisdanceplace.com, a dance studio in Merrillville, Indiana, offering dance classes for all ages at all stages. She especially loves to teach dad approved hip hop to youth, and has founded Bri’s Bump, Baby N’ Dance Class for pregnant and new moms. Bri began her entrepreneurship journey while working another full-time job. Soon after, she began teaching dance and consulting full time.
During her free time, she gives back to the community through dance. She has taught dance in after school programs throughout Northwest Indiana and the Chicagoland area. Even though she is quite busy being an entrepreneur, she makes time for her awesome husband, Paul and their son, Paul II.
